Where does one start with the ENVIRONMENT?

Well for a start we will see that as with your health, your wealth and your food, environment ‘issues’ are determined by governmental budgets and the multi national petro dollars behind the politics. I attach fascinating films that explain what is going on ‘behind the scenes’. These were real eye openers to me. I finish off, however, with some FRESH AIR with Jacque and his film ‘The Future by Design’ His vision is the possible future. He just needs a few billion more of us ordinary folk to understand the same so natural human inertia can make the changes happen.

Whilst researching for this site I came across the documentary movie HOME It is an outstanding account of our planets’ history and our role as humans upon it. The photography is out of this world and well worth downloading in the HD format. Its creator Yann Arthus-Bertrand states the following:-

home‘We are living in exceptional times. Scientists tell us that we have 10 years to change the way we live, avert the depletion of natural resources and the catastrophic evolution of the Earth’s climate.

The stakes are high for us and our children. Everyone should take part in the effort, and HOME has been conceived to take a message of mobilization to every human being that inhabits our planet. For this purpose, HOME needs to be free. A patron, the PPR Group, made this possible. EuropaCorp, the distributor, also pledged not to make any profit because Home is a non-profit film. HOME has been made for you : share it! And act for the planet. Pincha aqui version español

With my growing awareness I have become more and more skeptical about global warming. I specifically remember in the 70‘s the TV talking about the pending ice age we were heading towards based on ‘scientific evidence’. Today my children are being told that the world is over heating based on ‘scientific evidence’. Bearing in mind the age of the earth that’s quite a swing in data in thirty years!! That’s because Global Warming has become an ‘industry’. I DO believe the world is warming, but I don’t believe it has anything to do with emissions.

So should we stop spewing out CO2? Of course we should. Burning Fossil fuels makes no sense to anyone except the multi nationals receiving the trillions it generates each year. The fact is, if you have a bronchitis you don’t carry on smoking. The earth is no different. That the climate is warming is beyond dispute, contaminating it further is not making it…. or our lungs any better. In the next film ‘The great global warming swindle’ (trailer) we will hear from many scientists that have worked, and left, the IPPC. The case is compelling. In resume they show that CO2 is a result of global warming, and not its cause!

The cause according to these experts are the sun spots and their consequent magnetic fields that determine our weather patterns. Once again follow the money and you will find the answers. This is compelling viewing. Pincha aqui para version español

Who Killed the Electric Car? is a 2006 documentary film that explores the creation, limited commercialisation, and subsequent destruction of the battery electric vehicle in the United States. Specifically the General Motors EV1 of the mid 1990s. The film explores the roles of automobile manufacturers, the oil industry, the US government, the Californian government, batteries, hydrogen vehicles, and consumers in limiting the development and adoption of this technology.

You have to see the content of this film to believe it. It deals with facts. ‘Who Killed the electric Car’                                                                     Pincha aqui para version español

Let’s finish this section with something inspiring. Jacque Fresco has been described as a modern day Leonardo de Vinchi. Born March 13, 1916, he is a self-educated structural designer, philosopher of science, concept artist, educator, and futurist. His interests span a wide range of disciplines including several in philosophy, science, and engineering. Fresco writes and lectures extensively on his view of subjects ranging from the holistic design of sustainable cities, energy efficiency, natural resource management, cybernated technology, advanced automation, and the role of science in society, focusing on the benefits he claims this will bring. With his colleague, Roxanne Meadows, he is the founder and director of an organization known as The Venus Project, located in Venus, Florida. Meet the man and his vision.

His vision is not new. He have been speaking truths for decades. See him here talking to Larry King. He describes the dis functional monetary system, Spotify, On line Cinema services, non fossil fuel energy, Political corruption, centralised transport systems, an EGO contaminated society, Google’s amazing driverless car, multi national contempt for consumer goods that are made to break so that we keep having to buy them, and more. The quality is not the best however the interview was in 1974!

Finally I attach his film, which is inspiring especially after having seen so much counter productive events described in these pages. Good viewing, Future by Design (Pincha aqui para version español)

‘Irena Salina’s award-winning documentary investigation into what experts label the most important political and environmental issue of the 21st Century  i.e. the world water crisis. Salina builds a case against the growing privatization of the world’s dwindling fresh water supply with an unflinching focus on politics, pollution, human rights, and the emergence of a domineering world water cartel. Interviews with scientists and activists intelligently reveal the rapidly building crisis, at both the global and human scale, and the film introduces many of the governmental and corporate culprits behind the water grab, while begging the question “should anyone own the water?”

Beyond identifying the problem, Flow also gives viewers a look at the people and institutions providing practical solutions to the water crisis and those developing new technologies, which are fast becoming blueprints for a successful global and economic turnaround.’ FLOW Pincha aqui para version español

whatpicWhat in the world are they spraying? Everyone has seen crisscrossing streaks of white clouds trailing behind jet aircraft, stretching from horizon to horizon, eventually turning the sky into a murky haze.  Are these  mere vapor trails from jet engines, or something more sinister? I have to say that as a kid I remember these trails disbursing a lot quicker than they do today.

The next video explains the story of a rapidly developing industry called geo-engineering, driven by scientists, corporations, and governments intent on changing global climate, controlling the weather, and altering the chemical composition of soil and water — all supposedly for the betterment of mankind. Although officials insist that these programs are only in the discussion phase, evidence is abundant that they have been underway since about 1990 — and it would appear that the effect has been devastating to crops, wildlife, and human health. Are we being sprayed with toxic substances without our consent and being lying to?  Watch this documentary be informed and research the subject you will find arguments from both camps.

Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret is a groundbreaking feature-length environmental documentary following intrepid filmmaker Kip Andersen as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today – and investigates why the world’s leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it.

Animal agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation, water consumption and pollution, is responsible for more greenhouse gases than the transportation industry, and is a primary driver of rainforest destruction, species extinction, habitat loss, topsoil erosion, ocean “dead zones,” and virtually every other environmental ill. Yet it goes on, almost entirely unchallenged.

As Andersen approaches leaders in the environmental movement, he increasingly uncovers what appears to be an intentional refusal to discuss the issue of animal agriculture, while industry whistleblowers and watchdogs warn him of the risks to his freedom and even his life if he dares to persist.

As eye-opening as Blackfish and as inspiring as An Inconvenient Truth, this shocking yet humorous documentary reveals the absolutely devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet, and offers a path to global sustainability for a growing population.
